J&K Government's Development Drive Sees Significant Progress

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference-led government is making significant strides in infrastructure development. Since its formation in 2024, it has included 5,881 works valued at Rs 22,275 crore in the Budget Estimates for 2025-26, as revealed by the finance department officials.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who oversees the Finance Department, has highlighted the meticulous consultative process with legislators from all political corners, leading to the presentation of two successful budgets. The latest budget, presented on February 6, incorporates suggestions from diverse stakeholders.

To ensure timely execution, multiple monitoring mechanisms, including BEAMS and PROOF, have been implemented. This ensures real-time tracking of funds and work progress, securing accountability. Regular reviews are conducted to keep track of ongoing projects, demonstrating the government's commitment to development.
