Amit Shah's Assam Visit: Border Development and Historic Parade
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Assam, where he will launch a border infrastructure initiative and address a rally. He will inspect security measures at a border outpost and attend the CRPF's annual day parade in the region for the first time.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Assam on Friday for a strategic two-day visit. During this trip, he plans to inaugurate a significant border infrastructure project and address a public rally.
Upon his arrival, Shah was welcomed at the airport by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, along with several cabinet colleagues and senior state government officials. Shah is set to launch the 'Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP)' at Natanpur village, an initiative aimed at enhancing border infrastructure and livelihoods. He will also address a large public meeting at the venue.
On his itinerary, Shah will visit the Nathanpur border outpost along the India-Bangladesh boundary to review security measures. On Saturday, he will preside over the CRPF's annual day parade at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati, marking the event's first occurrence in the Northeast. In addition, Shah is set to lay the foundation stone for the new campus of the 10th Assam Police Battalion at Kasutoli in Sonapur, near Guwahati.
