Contractors Booked for Electrocution Incident at Diva Station
Two contractors were charged in relation to the death of a worker at Diva railway station. The worker, Khangaram Harjiji Rawal, died from electrocution while digging. The firm allegedly failed to provide necessary safety gear, and contractors Deepak Pandey and Rahul Panchal have been booked but not arrested.

In a recent development, authorities have charged two contractors following the electrocution and subsequent death of a worker at Diva railway station. The tragic incident occurred on December 22 when Khangaram Harjiji Rawal, 37, was electrocuted while working near the ticket counter.
According to the Thane railway police, Rawal was digging a pit near platform number 1 when the accident happened. Although he was rushed to a nearby hospital, he could not be saved. Initially recorded as an accidental death report, the case has now taken a new turn after the victim's brother filed a detailed complaint.
The contractors, identified as Deepak Shyambahadur Pandey and Rahul Uttam Panchal, are associated with the firm executing the project. Allegedly, they failed to provide mandatory safety equipment needed for hazardous work, such as insulated shoes and gloves. Charges have been filed against them for negligence, although they have yet to be apprehended.
