In a recent statement, Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajiv Bindal took aim at the Congress-led state government, alleging that they have been distributing false information about the Revenue Deficit Grant and central assistance.

Bindal attended an all-party meeting on February 13, where the discontinuation of Revenue Deficit Grants by the Centre was discussed. He claimed that while BJP members listened intently for two hours, their attempts to present counterpoints from the finance secretary's report were met with interruptions.

The BJP president criticized Congress leaders for using objectionable language and directing blame for the state's financial struggles at the central government. Bindal argued that despite substantial funds from the Centre, such as Rs 27,000 crore in RDG, economic mismanagement and administrative failures by the state government have led to development being stalled in Himachal Pradesh. He reiterated the BJP's stand for transparency, accountability, and public interest.
