Online Betting Racket Busted in Odisha's Rourkela

In a significant breakthrough, Odisha's Rourkela police have dismantled an online betting operation, detaining five individuals, authorities confirmed on Wednesday. The operation, which was executed following a crucial tip-off, involved raids by multiple police teams across various locations.

As part of the operation, law enforcement seized Rs 20 lakh in cash and discovered a sophisticated network involving benami account holders and hawala brokers. "Initial findings suggest evidence of illegal monetary exchanges," a police officer stated, providing insights into the extent of the racket.
