During his two-day visit to Lucknow, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will engage with students at the University of Lucknow and professionals at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. His visit comes amid controversy over UGC's new regulations on caste-based discrimination, which the Supreme Court recently stayed for being 'vague' and potentially divisive.

At a 'social harmony' meeting, Bhagwat emphasized legal compliance and constitutional mechanisms to amend flawed laws while addressing the caste-based regulation issue. He highlighted the importance of societal harmony to prevent conflicts, advocating for support to those who have been marginalized.

Expressing concerns over declining Hindu population growth and religious conversions, Bhagwat called for unity within the Hindu community, encouraging larger families and checking infiltration and inducement-based conversions as part of RSS's centenary outreach initiative.
