Security Guard Shot in Jharkhand's Ramgarh: Investigation Underway

A security guard from Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) suffered critical injuries after being shot at close range by unidentified assailants in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district, police reported on Sunday. The attack occurred late Saturday evening when motorcycle-borne gunmen opened fire on Bihari Ram in Jamuriya market area, Barkakana.

The wounded guard was initially treated at CCL's Bhurkunda hospital before being transferred to a larger facility in Ranchi for further care, where his condition remains critical. The tragic event unfolded while Ram was stationed in the local Sayal market.

Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, though details about the attackers are currently scant. Security has been heightened in the area as authorities work to piece together motives and suspects involved in the brazen attack.
