NSG Completes Advanced Training on Bomb Disposal in Udhampur

The National Security Guard (NSG) successfully wrapped up its intensive two-week training initiative focused on Counter Improvised Explosive Devices (CIED) for members of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Conducted in Udhampur district, this program saw participation from 53 officers across various police subdivisions.

The training, held at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy, was meticulously organized by expert instructors from the NSG Training Centre in Manesar, Haryana. Its primary goal was to boost the operational prowess of police personnel in addressing threats related to improvised explosive devices (IEDs), ultimately mitigating the associated risks.

Deputy Director SKPAU and Senior Superintendent of Police Benam Tosh praised the quality of training delivered and highlighted the critical role such programs play in enhancing counter-terrorism capabilities. The course covered identification, neutralization, and disposal of explosive threats and included hands-on exercises and scenarios to develop real-time skills.
