Karnataka Launches Crackdown on Illegal Foreign Nationals and Drug Factories

Karnataka's Home Minister, G Parameshwara, announced plans for a statewide initiative targeting illegal residents, particularly Bangladeshi nationals. He stressed the need for accurate records to address varying claims about their numbers and ensure efficient deportation processes.

Additionally, the government is ramping up efforts to crack down on illegal drug manufacturing by identifying and monitoring chemical factories. Parameshwara emphasized stringent inspections of these establishments to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

As the state budget preparations proceed, the Minister highlighted the department's priority on increased police recruitment and the establishment of new stations, aiming to bolster law enforcement infrastructure and capability across Karnataka.
