Delhi Police Cracks Down on Counterfeit Jeans Racket

Delhi Police have successfully dismantled a counterfeit jeans manufacturing operation situated in the Lawrence Road Industrial Area of northwest Delhi, leading to the apprehension of four suspects involved, officials announced on Thursday.
A formal complaint had been lodged concerning the large-scale production of counterfeit jeans, alongside fake tags and labels emulating a respected brand. Acting swiftly, police conducted multiple raids across four sites on Monday within the industrial zone.
The effort led to the arrests of Shadique Anwar, aged 21, Roshan Jha at 25, Rajesh Gupta at 43, and Sajan Kumar, 34. Authorities seized 580 counterfeit jeans of a renowned brand, along with 1,220 jeans from various other brands and related manufacturing equipment. Further investigations are underway following the registration of an FIR.
