Allahabad High Court Grants Bail in Bareilly Violence Case

The Allahabad High Court has extended bail to Nazim Raja Khan, one of the accused in last September's Bareilly violence case. Justice Vivek Verma presided over the hearing that resulted in the positive outcome for Khan.

According to Khan's legal representative, the accused was not involved in the incident for which an FIR targeted 28 named individuals and 200-250 unidentified persons. The lawyer stated that during the investigation, no substantial evidence of Khan’s involvement was found.

Additionally, it was argued that only two individuals sustained simple injuries during the unrest. The High Court previously granted bail to another accused, Mustakeem, influencing Monday’s decision to approve Khan's application.
