Complex Case of Allegations and Arrests Unfolds

A man and his family have been accused of gang rape and criminal intimidation following a woman's complaint, authorities revealed.The Basti police later arrested the man, Afzarul Haq, in Mumbai's Bandra pertaining to an attempted murder case dated December 20.

The Superintendent of Police stated that on January 15, a case was filed against eight individuals, including Haq, citing charges such as criminal breach of trust and gang rape. The investigation is ongoing, as officers address allegations of conversion without current evidentiary support.

Additionally, Haq faces claims of misleading women and false job promises.The victim alleged Haq pretended to be Hindu and utilized deceitful tactics. Haq's mother rebukes the charges, urging for an unbiased inquiry to unveil the truth.
