Operation Anweshan-II: Odisha's Successful Rescue Mission
Odisha Police successfully rescued 5,451 missing children and women during 'Operation Anweshan-II.' Conducted state-wide, the initiative helped reunite these individuals with their families. All police units participated, with significant success in districts like Puri and Cuttack. This operation follows a previous campaign that rescued 2,417 missing individuals last year.

In a remarkable statewide effort, Odisha Police have successfully rescued 5,451 missing children and women as part of 'Operation Anweshan-II' held between January 21 and 30. The coordinated drive saw participation from all district and urban police units, achieving a record-breaking number of rescues.
The Puri district led the rescue efforts with 613 individuals found, followed by Cuttack rural district with 501 and Bhadrak district with 429. Other districts such as Ganjam, Kendrapara, and Jajpur also made significant contributions to this collaborative endeavor.
The operation's primary goal was to ensure the safety and reunification of missing individuals with their families, facilitated by police from various departments including district, railway, and urban units. DGP YB Khurania has lauded the officers for their dedication and announced plans to intensify similar campaigns in the future.
