In the bustling area of Machhi Bazaar, Dehradun, the shocking murder of 22-year-old Gunjan Srivastava has led to the suspension of a police officer for negligence.
A special investigation team (SIT) has been appointed to delve into the case, promising a swift charge sheet against the accused, 27-year-old Akash Kumar.
Authorities aim to take the case to a fast-track court, pushing for a stringent punishment. Gunjan had previously lodged a harassment complaint against Akash, whose relationship turned sour after she discovered he was married.
