In a swift and decisive action, the Faridabad district jail administration successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotic substances into the facility, a police statement revealed on Tuesday.
Upon receiving specific intelligence inputs, a vigilant team of jail staff, led by the deputy superintendent of security, launched a comprehensive search operation within the prison premises on Monday.
During this operation, officials discovered a suspicious tape-wrapped ball near Barrack No. 18 labeled 'Raja Gold'. Contained within was 17 grams of a sulphur-like narcotic substance. Further investigations indicated that the contraband was directed by Mohit, an undertrial from Ballabgarh. It is suspected that Pawan, recently released on bail, threw the contraband over the prison wall, aided by Gaurav, another inmate.
