The Uttar Pradesh government has set the stage for a major recruitment drive, announcing examination dates for more than 32,000 new constable positions. According to information from the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), these exams will occur over three days in June, specifically on the 8th, 9th, and 10th, with two shifts each day.

A noteworthy change in the recruitment process is the inclusion of a one-time, three-year relaxation in the maximum age limit, a move approved by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to broaden the applicant pool. This decision was enacted through a government order following the December 2025 recruitment advertisement.

UPPRPB will soon release further details on examination centers, admit cards, and guidelines on its official website. The initiative follows a previous large-scale recruitment drive in 2024, where 60,244 constable positions were successfully filled, with 20% reserved for women.
