In a dramatic saga unfolding in Maharashtra, minister Dada Bhuse disclosed on Friday that he has requested a detailed report about the late Rohit Arya's work with the education department. Arya, who died after a police rescue operation, had allegedly taken 17 children and two adults hostage inside R A Studio.
The children, called to the studio for a web series audition, were fortunately rescued following a three-hour standoff. Arya claimed unresolved financial dues from a Maharashtra education department project, having earlier staged a protest in Pune regarding this matter.
Deepening the drama, former education minister Deepak Kesarkar revealed that Arya was involved in collecting money from students for his Swachhta Monitor initiative. With growing allegations, an inquiry into Arya's actions has been initiated, assessing his role in the school cleanliness project that engaged around 64,000 schools and 59 lakh students.
