An incident in Kottiyam has raised serious concerns after an ambulance transporting a patient was halted and vandalized by three men. The altercation reportedly began after the ambulance allegedly collided with their two-wheeler, causing the men to retaliate violently.
According to the police, the confrontation took place around 8:45 pm on Tuesday as the ambulance, filled with medical personnel and a patient, made its way to a local hospital. The situation escalated when the men damaged the vehicle, broke a side-view mirror, and attacked the driver, as caught on surveillance footage.
While one suspect has been identified through the vehicle's registration, police have yet to locate him due to his mobile tower indicating he is out of state. Local residents successfully intervened to allow the ambulance to proceed, ensuring the patient was unharmed.
