A 26-year-old man, described as a habitual offender, has allegedly murdered his father by striking him with a crowbar during a heated dispute over money for liquor, police reported. The incident occurred in the Hanuman Nagar locality of Bhandewadi.
Identified as Pawan alias Negi Armorikar, the suspect reportedly attacked his father, Narayan Armorikar, 52, around 1 pm on Tuesday. Following the incident, Pawan, who has a criminal history comprising eight previous cases including murder, surrendered at the Pardi Police Station.
The police have registered a new murder charge against Pawan, and the investigation into the case continues. This violent incident underscores ongoing familial conflict influenced by substance abuse, with tragic consequences.
