The Tripura cabinet has introduced three significant welfare initiatives to tackle child marriage, empower women entrepreneurs, and support religious minorities. The Chief Minister's Balika Samriddhi Yojana will award a Rs 50,000 fixed deposit to families upon the birth of up to two girl children, maturing when they turn 18, provided they remain unmarried.

The cabinet further sanctioned a program under the Industries and Commerce Department providing up to Rs 1 crore in loans to women entrepreneurs. This scheme includes an additional 5% subsidy compared to male beneficiaries, aiming to foster business innovation and expansion among women, referred to as 'Lakhpati Didis.'

Additionally, the Sankhalaghu Unnayan Prakalpa allocates Rs 1.5 crore for religious minorities, offering Rs 10,000 grants for small enterprise establishment. The funding is dispensed in two Rs 5,000 installments, focusing on the poultry, dairy, and duckery sectors. The cabinet also agreed to fill 104 managerial positions in the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited, potentially boosting employment.
