East Delhi Drug Trafficking Ring Busted: Police Seize Rs 1.6 Crore in Narcotics
Police arrested seven alleged drug traffickers in east Delhi, seizing Rs 1.6 crore worth of narcotics. Two cars were also confiscated during the operation. The suspects, some repeat offenders, were tracked at Ghazipur Border while planning a major drug delivery. Investigations into their distribution network continue.

In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Delhi Police announced the arrest of seven individuals involved in narcotics distribution in East Delhi. The operation, carried out near Ghazipur Border on NH-9 during heightened police deployment for Chhath Puja, led to the recovery of psychotropic substances valued at approximately Rs 1.6 crore.
Alongside the narcotics, authorities seized two vehicles, valued at around Rs 15 lakh, used in transporting the drugs. Those apprehended include Naveel, Talib, Nadir Khan alias Sahil, Md. Amaan, Areeb, Arshu, and Tarakki, many of whom have a history of criminal activities, including theft and robbery.
The operation was based on a tip-off indicating the suspects' plan to distribute a large consignment of drugs. The police continue to investigate the supply chain and distribution network, with noted offenders such as Md Amaan and Nadir Khan under close scrutiny due to their past criminal records.
