Bike Taxi Turmoil: Arrest of Delhite in Shocking Crime

In a disturbing incident, a bike taxi rider in East Delhi has been arrested for allegedly molesting and robbing a female passenger. The accused, Ajay Rayal, reportedly diverted the route to a secluded area and attempted to snatch her belongings.

The victim had reached ISBT Anand Vihar from Almora and booked a taxi to Khoda Colony. The rider, however, diverted towards a deserted stretch near the Commonwealth Games Village, where he allegedly molested her and fled with her bag after being confronted by nearby residents.

Police investigations, aided by CCTV footage, revealed Rayal used a scooter different from the one in the taxi aggregator's records. The accused, a high school graduate, was arrested and the vehicle confiscated. Further investigations are ongoing.
