A Delhi court has declined to grant bail to Aurangzeb Siddiqui, an accused involved in a major cocaine drug bust. The operation led to the seizure of over 547 kg of cocaine from the national capital in October 2024. This seizure followed the confiscation of 5.2 kg of cocaine from Siddiqui's possession.

The court's decision, delivered by Special Judge (NDPS) Virender Singh, emphasized the severity of the drug allegations. Factors such as the magnitude of the accusations, the risk of the accused fleeing, and the potential threat to society influenced the decision to deny bail.

Despite arguments from Siddiqui's counsel stating he was falsely implicated and unaware of the contraband, the prosecution contended that the accused was knowledgeable and actively involved in the offense. The substantial quantity of narcotics found in his possession further reinforced the court’s decision to deny bail.
