A devastating boiler explosion occurred at a plywood factory in Kumbla on Monday night, claiming one life and injuring ten people, according to police reports.
The sole fatality, Naseerul, was an employee at Decor Panel Plywood Factory located in the Ananthapuram Industrial Estate.
As the explosion rang out with a loud noise around 7 pm, local residents hurried to the scene to assist in transporting the injured to nearby hospitals. Police confirmed that Naseerul, who was from Assam, succumbed to his injuries, while the health status of two others remains critical. A formal investigation has been initiated, with officials from the Factories and Boilers Department stepping in to identify the explosion's cause.
