Quyamuddin Ansari, a committed CPI(ML) Liberation activist, is once again vying for the Arrah assembly seat in Bihar. Known for his grassroots campaigning, Ansari, comes from the Pasmanda Muslim community and stands against BJP's candidate, Sanjay Singh 'Tiger'. His modest campaign, fueled by small donations from supporters, serves as a notable contrast to opponents' reliance on substantial financial resources.
Ansari's fight is rooted in his determination to challenge 'money power' and advocate for the rights of the marginalized. This is his third attempt, having previously contested in 2015 and 2020, narrowly losing the last election. Despite facing multiple legal cases linked to his activism, he remains focused on issues of education and employment, areas he believes the current government has neglected.
Reflecting on the region's political climate, Ansari criticizes the incumbent leadership for failing to provide essential services and opportunities. He highlights the unmet needs in education and infrastructure, emphasizing the youth's disappointment in government promises. Ansari is hopeful that this time, the electorate will choose change over continuity with the INDIA bloc he supports, underlining employment as a critical electoral promise.
