Terry Rozier of the Miami Heat and Chauncey Billups, head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, have been apprehended as part of a federal sports betting probe, as per media sources. Specific charges are yet to be revealed, according to the Associated Press.
The arrests came to light through insiders unable to publicly discuss the investigation. The Miami Heat and NBA have not issued any statements in response to this development.
Back in January, federal prosecutors were reportedly examining Rozier's involvement in potentially altering his performance to assist in an unlawful betting scheme, highlighted by the Wall Street Journal.
