In a shocking development, three individuals, including a cattle transporter, have been apprehended in connection with the shooting of a 'Gau Rakshak' near Ghatkesar on Wednesday. The police reported that the victim, identified as B Prashanth Kumar alias Sonu Singh, was shot during an altercation with the accused over illegal cattle transportation.

The incident, which occurred on Wednesday evening, saw the prime accused, a 24-year-old businessman, allegedly open fire on Kumar following a heated exchange. According to authorities, the conflict arose after Kumar exposed the illegal transportation activities, causing significant financial losses for the accused.

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar, alongside other prominent BJP leaders, paid a visit to the victim at the hospital. The minister condemned the attack, questioned the origins of the weapon used, and criticized the state government for failing to curb illicit activities, while pledging full support to the victim.
