Nine individuals in Kyiv were injured and several buildings damaged following an overnight drone attack attributed to Russian forces, as confirmed by a senior Ukrainian official on Thursday. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city’s military administration, reported that ten city locations faced damage.
This attack marks the second consecutive night of Russian aggression, with earlier strikes focusing on Ukraine's power infrastructure. Officials speculate these actions aim to cripple the energy system ahead of the colder months. It remains unclear what specific targets the latest assault aimed to hit.
Across Ukraine, at least seven people were killed in recent assaults, leading to widespread power outages. Ukrainian defense statements claim Russia launched 130 drones, successfully downing 92. Kyiv has also executed drone attacks on Russia, causing minor damage in the Nizhny Novgorod and Ryazan regions.
