Major Overhaul in China's Communist Party Leadership
China's Communist Party Central Committee has undergone its biggest personnel change since 2017, replacing 11 members amid a military purge. This occurred during a confidential gathering in Beijing, which also reviewed the upcoming five-year economic development plan.
 In a significant reshuffle, China's ruling Communist Party has replaced 11 members of its elite Central Committee, as announced in a statement by Xinhua on Thursday. This marks the most substantial personnel turnover since 2017, occurring amid an ongoing purge within the military ranks.
The announcement coincided with the conclusion of a pivotal closed-door meeting in Beijing, where the more than 300-strong committee deliberated on pressing national issues.
Among the topics of discussion was an anticipated five-year economic development plan, reflecting the party's strategic focus on steering China's economic future.
