Tragic End: Jealousy and Murder in Bahraich
A man in Bahraich, Harikishan, was arrested for allegedly murdering his wife, Phoola Devi, over an extramarital affair. Devi was missing since October 6, and her body was later found buried in their home. Harikishan confessed to the crime after his return from Haryana.

In a chilling turn of events, Harikishan, a 48-year-old from the Narpatpurwa locality in the Ahata village of Bahraich district, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife, Phoola Devi. The crime transpired after Harikishan reportedly discovered Devi in a compromising position with another man.
Authorities were alerted to the situation when Devi's brother noticed freshly disturbed soil beneath the couple's bed, subsequently leading to the grim discovery of her decomposed body buried five to six feet underground. Phoola Devi had been missing since October 6, and her brother had filed a missing person report a week later.
The police apprehended Harikishan in Barabanki district, where he had fled post the murder. During the interrogation, Harikishan confessed to his actions spurred by jealousy. Following his arrest, he was presented before a court and is now in judicial custody.
