Punjab Police Crack Down on Cross-Border Smuggling Network
Punjab Police have made a significant breakthrough by busting a cross-border smuggling network, arresting four individuals, and recovering sophisticated firearms. The operation, led by the State Special Operation Cell in Amritsar, is linked to a Pakistan-based orchestrator. Further investigations aim to dismantle the entire network.

In a significant operation, Punjab Police have dismantled a cross-border smuggling network, leading to the arrest of four key operatives and the seizure of four sophisticated pistols with live ammunition. The action highlights ongoing efforts to curb illegal arms trafficking in the region.
Director General of Police, Gaurav Yadav, confirmed that the arrested individuals were acting under the orders of a smuggler based in Pakistan, who has been critical in orchestrating the movement of weapons into Punjab.
An FIR has been lodged at the SSOC police station in Amritsar, and further investigations are underway to uncover and neutralize the entire smuggling network, including its forward and backward linkages.
