During the Reuters NEXT Gulf summit, held in Abu Dhabi, Nigeria's Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar highlighted how U.S. tariffs impact Nigeria less severely compared to other countries. His comments came during an interview on Wednesday.
Tuggar pointed out that Nigeria's diversified trade relations with nations like China, Brazil, and India provide a buffer against the adverse effects of U.S. President Donald Trump's trade policies.
He emphasized that Nigeria is not fixated on any one bilateral relationship but is instead focused on achieving strategic autonomy to weather international policy changes.
