In the wake of Ali Larijani's death, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has emphasized the resilience of the nation's political infrastructure, describing it as a 'very solid structure' that remains unaffected by individual losses. Larijani, who was a pivotal figure in Tehran's security apparatus, played a significant role as the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Araghchi asserted that the Iranian government does not hinge on a single person, countering perceptions from the United States and Israel. He stated, 'The Islamic Republic of Iran has a strong political structure with established political, economic, and social institutions. The presence or absence of a single individual does not affect this structure.'

Reflecting on the earlier death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, killed amid US-Israeli strikes, Araghchi highlighted the continuity of the system despite leadership losses. 'The system continued to function,' he noted, reaffirming that replacements emerge swiftly within Iran's robust political framework. Araghchi also reiterated that Tehran did not initiate the ongoing conflict, holding the United States accountable for its consequences.
