Prior to this meeting, Radhakrishnan paid a courtesy visit to Seychelles President Patrick Herminie, expressing his wishes for a successful tenure. The meeting underscored strategies to fortify the bilateral relationship and a mutual vision for peace and prosperity in the Indian Ocean Region and the Global South. This diplomatic outreach coincided with Radhakrishnan's attendance at Herminie's swearing-in ceremony, where he conveyed India's greetings and unwavering support.
Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's MAHASAGAR framework for regional security and growth, Radhakrishnan underscored Seychelles' vital role in this vision during his address to the Indian diaspora. Reinforcing strategic regional cooperation, Radhakrishnan also engaged with Mauritius' Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam, highlighting the enduring connections between India and Mauritius, with a focus on enhancing bilateral relations.
