Sharjah Airport Soars with Record Passenger Growth in Q3 2025

Sharjah Airport has announced a remarkable 16.7% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers for the third quarter of 2025, reaching over 5 million travelers, thus reflecting its growing prominence in the global aviation market.
The total aircraft movements, encompassing both scheduled and non-scheduled flights, surged to 30,737, representing a notable 10.7% rise from the previous year's figures. Cargo operations also witnessed a modest increase of 3.9%, with sea-air freight marking an impressive rise of 32.8%, underscoring the airport's enhanced logistical capabilities.
Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, attributed the airport's success to ongoing investments in infrastructure, capacity expansion, and digital advancements, aligning with the emirate's strategic development objectives. The airport continues to focus on increasing efficiency, passenger services, and expanding its global reach through strategic initiatives.
