A deadly Russian drone strike on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa claimed the lives of an elderly married couple and injured over a dozen people, according to Ukrainian officials on Friday.
The attack caused extensive damage, demolishing two two-storey buildings and damaging another, where two fatalities occurred. It also sparked a blaze in a three-storey apartment building, as confirmed by emergency services.
Serhiy Lysak, local military administration head, reported on Telegram that 15 people were hurt, though emergency services cited 14 injuries. Eight survivors required hospital treatment. Photos showed a building engulfed in flames and another severely damaged.
