AIIMS Jammu achieved a remarkable milestone by performing complex reconstructive neurosurgery on a 15-year-old Punjab girl affected by a rare tumour.

The surgery, led by Dr. Kanav Gupta and Dr. Shaurya Darbari, involved advanced navigation and innovative techniques like cell-saver systems and titanium grafts, crucial for facial reconstruction.

This success underscores AIIMS Jammu's growing capabilities, eliminating the need for patients to travel far for complex neurosurgeries, as highlighted by Executive Director Prof. D N Sharma.
