Superhealth Introduces Commission-Free Surgical Care with Supersurgery
Superhealth has launched Supersurgery, a program to tackle unnecessary procedures, unpredictable costs, and long discharge delays in hospitals. The initiative eliminates commission-driven incentives allowing doctors to focus solely on patient care. The hospital reports a reduction in surgeries, emphasizing medical recommendations over profit-driven decisions.
Superhealth, headquartered in the city, has announced the launch of Supersurgery, a revolutionary surgical care program set to alleviate common patient fears associated with hospital stays. This initiative targets unnecessary procedures, fluctuating billing, and extended discharge periods.
According to Superhealth, typical surgical decision-making in private Indian hospitals is often swayed by incentive structures such as commissions and sales targets. Supersurgery eradicates these financial motivations. Doctors employed under this program receive fixed salaries, removing any commission or sales-driven incentives.
The results of this new approach are evident since the opening of Superhealth's first hospital in Koramangala in 2025. Nearly half of the patients who came with prior surgical recommendations were advised to seek non-surgical treatments following independent clinical assessments. This suggests a significant deviation from standard practices, with up to 50% fewer surgeries recommended.
