Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has called on both state and central governments to establish a high-level scientific investigation committee. The committee’s goal would be to explore the rising number of sudden cardiac arrests and deaths in the youth demographic.
Pointing to international dialogues about rare vaccine side effects and long Covid implications, Gehlot emphasized the public’s right to clarity to prevent future tragedies. Concerns have surged among legislators, including opposition leader Tika Ram Jully, further amplifying societal fear and uncertainty.
Gehlot criticized the current government's inaction, noting the previous Congress administration's plans for a Centre for Post-Covid Rehabilitation, which remain unrealized. He appealed for a non-partisan approach to urgently address this pressing health issue.
