This initiative, initially targeting 57 medical colleges predominantly in rural areas, aims to provide students with better access to essential learning materials.
At the AI Impact Summit, Deputy Director General B Srinivas highlighted that students in remote medical colleges struggle to access quality e-books and technical materials. The government's plan leverages AI to enhance resource availability, focusing initially on government colleges due to budget constraints.
The summit's panel discussed the use of responsible AI to advance health equity, emphasizing trust, transparency, and governance. It also explored the deployment of evidence-based AI systems to strengthen health systems in resource-limited settings.
