Compassionate Fight Against Cancer: A Community Call

On World Cancer Day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta urged for a compassionate, collective approach to combating cancer, framing it as more than a medical condition; it's a social and emotional challenge. Speaking at the New Delhi Municipal Corporation Convention Centre during the 'Jan Jan Jage, Cancer Bhage' campaign, she stressed the need for societal support.

Gupta pointed out the significant impact of cancer on mental health, self-confidence, and family finances. Emphasizing community involvement beyond hospitals, she called for a fight driven by social support and human sensitivity to address the disease comprehensively.

The Chief Minister highlighted the role of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Delhi's healthcare framework, offering free cancer screenings and essential services. She also lauded the affordable medicine initiatives through Jan Aushadhi Kendras, which aim to provide medicines at low costs, ensuring access for all.
