On Wednesday, social media influencer Jatin Shukla issued an apology after facing legal action for allegedly making false and objectionable remarks against Lok Sabha member Shankar Lalwani. These remarks were related to the contaminated water tragedy in Indore.
Shukla claimed his comments were due to a lack of information and a mistake, stressing no intent to defame the MP. The authorities have registered a case against him for promoting misleading information, which violated legal prohibitions on social media.
The court is conducting a judicial probe into the contaminated water incident linked to 16 deaths. The Congress alleges the fatalities number 32. A one-member commission led by Justice Sushil Kumar Gupta is overseeing the investigation.
