New research by Flinders University suggests a possible link between nighttime exposure to bright light and a higher risk of cardiovascular issues, including a 56% increased risk of heart failure among adults aged 40 and above.

The study monitored over 13 million hours of light exposure data from almost 89,000 individuals in the UK, followed for nine years, revealing a significant correlation.

Experts recommend minimizing night light exposure with blackout curtains, dimming lights, and reducing screen time before bed to mitigate these health risks.
