Joe Biden's Cancer Battle: A Journey Through Treatment

On Monday, Former President Joe Biden concluded a significant chapter in his health journey by completing radiation therapy for an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Treatment was carried out at Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology situated in Philadelphia, according to spokesperson Kelly Scully.

Biden, who is now 82, stepped down from office in January, following his decision to cease his re-election campaign due to concerns regarding his age and health, including mental fitness. He made this decision after losing a crucial debate to Republican opponent Donald Trump, whose victory also marked the end of Vice President Kamala Harris’s tenure.

In May, Biden's team publicly acknowledged the diagnosis of his prostate cancer, which had metastasized to his bones. His Gleason score was reportedly 9, placing his condition among the most severe. Last month, Biden also underwent surgery to excise skin cancer lesions from his forehead, as part of ongoing health management.
