Judge Dismisses Musk's Fraud Claims Against OpenAI Co-Founder
A U.S. judge has dismissed Elon Musk's fraud claims in his lawsuit against OpenAI and co-founder Sam Altman. The trial will proceed with charges of breach of charitable trust and unjust enrichment. The ruling was made by Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers in Oakland, with jury selection set for Monday.
A U.S. judge has dismissed the fraud claims brought by Elon Musk against OpenAI and its co-founder, Sam Altman. Musk's lawsuit accused Altman of betraying OpenAI's original mission.
The ruling, which paves the way for a trial on Musk's additional claims of charitable trust breach and unjust enrichment, was issued by District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers in Oakland, California.
Despite the dismissal of fraud claims, jury selection for the trial is set to commence on Monday, marking the next phase in this legal battle.
