Lavrov Accuses U.S. of Energy Market Dominance

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has launched a scathing critique against the United States, accusing it of sidelining international diplomatic conventions to further its own interests, specifically in dominating global energy markets.

Lavrov, during an interview on Russian state television, charged Washington with reverting international relations to a pre-legal era, prioritizing its national well-being through extreme measures against countries with coveted natural resources.

He denounced U.S. involvement in Venezuela and Iran, and highlighted U.S. pressure on Europe to cut ties with Russian energy, describing it as a colonial approach. Lavrov underscored that Russia remains open to mutually beneficial projects if its interests are respected.
