The grieving family of Nithin Raj, a BDS student who tragically fell to his death in a suspected suicide case, has met with the City Police Commissioner in Kannur, urging for swift justice. Allegations against faculty of caste-based harassment have surfaced, with the family demanding accountability.
Nithin Raj, a first-year student at Anjarakandy's private dental college, passed away after succumbing to injuries sustained from the fall. The police have charged two faculty members with abetment of suicide and violation of the SC/ST Act. Raj's relatives, expressing dissatisfaction with the pace of the investigation, have vowed to continue their fight for justice.
The family is pushing for the arrest of Dr. M K Ram and Dr. Sangeetha, accused in the case, who have sought anticipatory bail. Allegations also include mismanagement of student grievances by college authorities and complicity in the tragic incident. The family insists Raj's death be investigated as murder.
