Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has pledged relentless efforts to eradicate the drug menace from Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a women farmers' conference, he emphasized that departments across the region are unified in their mission for a drug-free community, spearheaded by the 'Nasha Mukt' campaign.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' in 2020 set in motion significant actions, with increased arrests and drug seizures across Jammu and Kashmir. The campaign's Kashmir chapter is set to launch on May 3, urging citizens, especially women, to partake actively in the initiative.

Sinha praised women's indispensable role in agriculture and society, crediting them with food security and societal prosperity. He stated that their contributions are vital not just for families but for the broader community's success in combating drug abuse and promoting generational well-being.
