Steady LNG from Oman Powers Germany Amidst Gulf Tensions
Oman has commenced the delivery of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Germany's Sefe amid Gulf tensions. Despite ongoing conflicts in Iran, LNG supplies remain secure, with an agreement signed in March 2024 ensuring deliveries. Oman LNG is set to supply 0.4 million metric tonnes annually starting in 2026.
Despite regional tensions, Oman has successfully begun delivering liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Germany's state-owned gas supplier, Sefe. This marks a significant step in securing energy supplies for Germany.
A spokesperson from Sefe confirmed the deliveries, assuring that the ongoing conflicts in Iran have not affected the supply pipeline. The agreement, established in March 2024, is moving ahead as planned.
