In the swirling vortex of Karnataka's political landscape, Minister Sharan Prakash Patil addressed speculation surrounding a potential cabinet reshuffle, asserting his lack of pertinent information. Speaking to the media, he emphasized that reshuffling remains a decision for the Chief Minister and the party's high command, acknowledging MLAs' aspirations for ministerial roles as legitimate.
As the Congress government grapples with internal discord, largely driven by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's supporters advocating for his elevation to Chief Minister based on a prior power-sharing agreement, the leadership conundrum intensifies. The tussle for leadership has necessitated continuous interactions between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar, aimed at averting further tensions.
This ongoing leadership struggle dates back to November last year, as the government approached the midway point of its tenure. Alongside CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar, Home Minister G Parameshwara emerges as another contender for the state's top administrative position.
